Why We Built EXPOZOR

Every expense app we tried was either too simple or too complex. So we built the one we always wanted — calm, intelligent, and respectful of your time.

The problem with expense trackers

We've tried them all. The spreadsheet warriors. The apps that make you categorize every coffee. The ones that sync your bank but then show you a wall of uncategorized transactions you'll never clean up.

The pattern is always the same: you start motivated, you enter expenses for a week, and then you stop. Not because you don't care about your money — but because the tool demands more energy than the insight it returns.

What if the app adapted to you?

That's the question that started EXPOZOR. What if instead of you learning the app's system, the app learned yours?

Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Your rules run first. If you've told EXPOZOR that anything from "Tesco" is groceries, it never second-guesses you. AI only fills in the gaps.
  • Confidence is transparent. When the AI categorizes a transaction, it shows you why — and if it's less than 60% confident, it asks rather than assumes.
  • Shared expenses just work. Split a utility bill with your household? EXPOZOR tracks who owes what without a separate app, a group chat, or a spreadsheet.

Built for real life

We designed EXPOZOR around one principle: money is personal. The app should feel like a calm, competent assistant — not a financial advisor who won't stop talking.

That means:

  1. Fast capture — snap a receipt, and on-device OCR reads it before you've put your phone away.
  2. Honest AI — categorization that shows its work, not a black box.
  3. Privacy by default — your financial data is encrypted with per-user keys. We can't read it even if we wanted to.

What's next

We're in private beta right now. The waitlist is open, and everyone who joins locks in Founders' pricing for life. No credit card required. No commitment.

We're building this in public, and we'd love your feedback. If you've ever rage-quit an expense app, join the waitlist — we built EXPOZOR for you.
